SRK is a 2 year old brown male german shepherd.

He is an absolute gentleman – filled to the brim with love & snuggles.

He loves sitting with his people, sniffing & walking around the neighborhood.

He is very friendly with new people and has lots of love to give.

He can be wary and timid around large groups of new people in the first few minutes but once he warms up in a few minutes, he makes himself right at home and you’ll be left wondering how you ever lived without him!

On the evening of Jan 12th, 2024 at around 5:00 pm, Me and my Dad were returning from a walk on Lake Elizabeth (Fremont, CA) in our Car.

We just crossed the Intersection of Fremont Blvd (South) and Blacow Rd.  My Dad and the other cars on the road had to stop because SRK was nervously standing in the middle of the road ( as if trying to ask for help). Here is the link to the exact location.

Luckily he then moved onto a service road on the side of the Fremont Blvd. We followed him and spoke to a few by standers (while holding onto him), to see if we could immediately find his owner.

Long story short ( about 60 mins).  A few cop cars came looking for him (since someone had called in to say that a dog was running around freely on the road). Unfortunately, The owner had not called in to 911. The cops were very happy that we were willing to help out and take SRK in (and can take him to the shelter home and help find a loving home). We knocked on about 10 doors in the neighborhood to find out if anyone knew anyone knew SRK’s house.

On the Morning of Jan 13th, we took him to a local Petsmart to see if we can locate his owner via information on his microchip. Unfortunately, he was not microchipped either.

We then took him to the Tri-city Animal shelter to get his health checked out and discuss next steps. Becky and Elisa @ Tri-city Animal Shelter were just amazing. They made SRK welcomed and took him in immediately. He told us that they will do the required health checkup and also give him the necessary vaccination shots before making him available for fostering / adoption approx around Jan 20th.  Click here for more information about SRK from the Tri-City official posting.

As per the initial assessment done by Tri-City, SRK is a 2 years old male German Shephard!

We are very happy that Tri-city Animal shelter can give him a loving home atleast for the time-being. I have myself started on a new job and I do not want to leave SRK unattended at home while I am at work. He deserves better!.

We are hoping he can find a loving home soon. Ideally a home where someone in the family is at home all the time, so that SRK is not left alone, atleast during the initial days as he gets used to his new home!
