Seuti Teron comes from the Garbhanga Forest Reserve in Assam — a community where, for generations, girls remained uneducated, unheard and unaware of their own rights. Her dream is the reason Sneha Karma Foundation exists: a girl from a forest village, given schooling, care and a fair chance, growing into a woman who lives freely and independently. Seuti is one of the girls at the heart of our Support-A-Girl program, and this is her story — a reminder that every girl we sponsor carries a dream worth protecting.

Seuti is one of the girls supported through our flagship Support-A-Girl program, which began in the Garbhanga Forest Villages in 2012. The program provides girls with education, accommodation, clothing, healthcare and other essentials, and stands by each girl until she is well established in her professional life. For the girls of Garbhanga — long the victims of gender inequality, child marriage and exploitation — this support is more than charity; it is the platform for equal opportunity they never had.
