Girls Wellbeing

A girl who is unwell, hungry or without menstrual-health support cannot stay in class. Health & Wellbeing protects the health that keeps girls learning — through adolescent health education, nutrition and mobile medical and dental camps.

Why it matters

Poor adolescent health, menstrual stigma and under-nutrition drive absenteeism and drop-out. Health access is weakest in exactly the villages we serve, so a health problem quietly ends an education.

What the program provides

Health, education and livelihood are one story: healthy girls stay in school, and educated girls build healthier families.

Who this serves

Girls whose schooling is quietly ended by a health problem — under-nutrition, untreated illness, or menstruation without support — and girls at risk from trafficking and exploitation.

How we approach it

We work inside the schools we already support, weaving health and safety into a girl’s education rather than bolting them on. Volunteer clinicians make medical and dental camps possible, and local referral pathways connect families to services that exist but are hard to reach.

What progress looks like

Fewer days missed, fewer girls lost to preventable illness, and girls who know their rights and how to stay safe. Health, education and livelihood are one story: healthy girls stay in school, and educated girls build healthier families.
