About Sneha Karma Foundation
Sneha Karma Foundation is a USA registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in California, with a Section 8 company registration in India. It was founded by someone who wanted to give back but kept finding that very little of a donation reached the people who needed it most.
Operating costs are capped at 10%, and a founding member covers a share of them. At least 90% of every gift, after payment-processing fees, goes to the girls and women we serve. Our work spans girls’ education, women’s livelihood, and social change — built around listening to what families and communities actually need.

Grant Writer — Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Grant Writer to help us find and win grant funding for our programs. You will work from our prospect list of foundations and grant-makers, turning the strongest opportunities into funded applications.
What you will do
- Research grant-makers and match them to our work in girls’ education, skills and livelihood.
- Read each funder’s guidelines and application form, and note eligibility and deadlines.
- Draft clear, compelling applications using our program data, impact numbers and stories.
- Work with our team to gather supporting documents such as budgets, registration papers and reports.
- Track submitted applications and follow up on outcomes.

Time commitment
We ask for at least 5 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months. The work is flexible and can fit around your other commitments; we will agree a rhythm and check in regularly.
Position type
Virtual — work from anywhere in the world at a time that suits you. You will need a reliable internet connection and the ability to work independently with our small, volunteer-led team.
