Welcome to Sneha Karma Collections (SKC) Marketplace Whatsapp Group

The purpose of this web page is to clearly explain the objective of the group, the do’s and don’t and some other guidelines. This will be a ‘living’ web page which we will continuously updated based on activities within the group and our learning’s in it.

SKC MarketPlace Whatsapp Group Objective 
The ‘SKC Marketplace’ Group was setup with the following objectives in mind :

To help promote and sell hand-made Artisan products

How will the Process work
The Plan at the time of setting up the group was as follows ( let us hope we can follow it 😛 )

Sale Process

• The ‘Whatsapp Admin’ volunteers will make a post about the product on sale.
  • The Post will provide information about the product, product pictures and the final price in Indian currency
    • For purchasers from India – The price includes shipping & handling charges
    • For overseas purchaser, please Direct Message the poster for the pricing for your country.
• If you still have questions about the product, we recommend you Direct Message the poster. If the Admin feels that the Question being asked will help other potential buyers, they will provide further clarification on their post.
  • Following this process will ensure that we are not spamming too many people with conversations/clarification that can happen on a 1:1 basis.
• We encourage you to re-post the Item on sale to your friends and other whatsapp groups.
  • Remember, Sneha Karma Collection is a not-for-profit social enterprise. We are doing this only to support the local artisan. All profits from this social enterprise will be used to fund other projects of Sneha Karma Foundation

Purchase Process

• If you are interested in purchasing the product, Please send a Direct Message to the Poster
  • The Admin will make the relevant post in the group to let others know that the product is sold without sharing the information about the purchaser
    • This will help protect your privacy
    •  The admin will make the post only after the sale is finalized.
• The Purchaser agrees to pay using any one of the following methods..
  • Online using a credit/debit card – We will send you the necessary link to make the payment
  • Paypal
• Mode of payment currently not accepted
  • • Charge on Delivery
    • Checks
• The Payment will be due within 48 hours of agreeing to buy the product. If payment is not received by then, the product will be put on sale again.

Delivery Process

• When you communicate your intent-to-buy the product, please include your full name and shipping address.
  • Please note the price indicated in the post only applies to buyers with Indian shipping address.
• We will ship the product to you within 48 hours of receiving the product.
  • In most cases, orders will be delivered within 7 to 10 business days.
• If you do not receive the shipment within 15 days of payment, please contact the whatsapp group admin with the product details.

Do’s

• Each member of the group is strongly encouraged to share some of our messages in the whatsapp group with ur friends and groups on any of the social media platforms
  • You can decide which message and how often you wish to share.
• Feel free to invite your loved one and friends to join the ‘SKC Whatsapp Group’ by sharing the following message (Feel free to edit as appropriate)

SKF is a USA based non-profit focused on executing projects in India.  Sneha Karma Collection (SKC) is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise venture of SKF. The primary objective of SKC is to support Indian Artisans and provide them a marketplace to sell their products without charging them a fee. Any profit made by SKC will go to SKF, which will be then used to fund various projects of Sneha Karma Foundation. For more information on these projects, please visit Sneha Karma Foundation website. Dont’s

• Please do not make any post in the group with prior approval from any of the ‘Group Admins’
  • Send a Direct Whatsapp message to any of the ‘Group Admins’ with your post and request approval before making the post.
  • Do not bother seeking approval of any message which is not related to SKC or SKF. It will be rejected.
• Please be kind when you post a comment on a post
  • Always provide constructive / positive feedback in the group setting
  • Send feedback / comments about anything that you might not like through direct messages to the group admins.
• Sorry to say this but if you violate the guideline more than twice, you will be removed from the group.
  • The group admins will provide you a warning via direct message.

I am sure each of you knows the power of social media. As a Non-Profit, we do not want to spend donations made by our supporters on ‘Paid Marketing’.  Also we do not believe that ‘Paid Marketing’ should be used to raise awareness about good work that is being done by unpaid volunteers.

Each of you might not be an active volunteer but you can definitely be our ambassadors. All you need to do is spare 5 minutes each week to share some of our post in your network and encourage them to share the information with their friends and groups.

As a founder member, I can confidently tell you that Sneha Karma Foundation has been able to make a difference in the lives of the under-privileged girls and woman only because of supporters like you. We believe in the power of kind-hearted people coming together to make a difference.
