Project
Designing, Building and Maintaining ArtisansDirect By SKF – An Online store, which will provide a free platform for under-privileged artisans from around India to sell their products online. Our Goal is to help these under-privileged artisans to earn a livelihood so that they can provide a better standard of living to their loved ones. This is a 100% non-profit initiative of Sneha Karma Foundation.

Volunteering Opportunities
We are looking to build a team volunteers to complete and manage this initiative on a ongoing basis

  • Website Design and Development
    • Our Team of ‘Website Design and Development’ volunteers will be responsible ongoing design and development of the online store.
    • The volunteers should have experience in using WordPress.
    • The volunteers should have experience or be willing to learn Flatsome Theme and other plugins.
    • The volunteers will also be expected to do some basic ‘Graphic Designing’ and ‘UI/UX’ related work.
  • Product Managers
    • Our Team of ‘Product Managers’ volunteers will be responsible for developing and maintaining on-going relationship with Artisans / NGO’s.
    • They will be responsible for working with the artisans / NGO’s to identify the products that will be made available on the online store.
    • They will be responsible for getting the details about the product from the artisan / NGO and publishing the product on the online store.
    • They will be responsible for working with the artisans / NGO’s to get the order executed once it is received and communicating with the customer to ensure that they had a good experience.
  • Product Marketing Manager
    • Our Team of ‘Product Marketing Manager’ will be responsible for regularly posting product links with some key messages on various social media platforms using our handle ( Facebook Page, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc)

Time Commitment
5 hours per week for 90 days

Absolutely, Yes. More than 50% of our volunteers join us when they are in this situation but they then stay on as a volunteer even after they get a full-time job. We have all been in such situations and can completely understand that you might need to go back to focus on your new job for a few months before you come back to contribute as a part-time volunteer.
